For those who bought Digi prepaid plan for usage in Malaysia, if you wish to preserve the phone number for future use when visiting Malaysia, it is best to get Digi Super Long Life that allows the number to be active for 365 days at the cost of RM 30.
To do this, you will have to change your Call plan to Digi Best Prepaid v4 plan. To do this, dial *128#
You will be given a list of options:
Digi Menu
0 Internet Subscription Packages
1 My Account
2 Super Deals
3 Internet
4 Music
5 Promotion
etc....
Key in 1 and ok, you will be brought to My Account
My Account
1 Balance
2 Reload
3 DG Savers
4 Call Plan
etc....
Key in 4 and ok, and you be shown
Call Plan: Digi Best Prepaid v3 (for example)
In order to change the plan to Digi Best Prepaid v4, you will need to dial *128*1# to change the Call Plan from Digi Best Prepaid v3 (or other plans) to Best Prepaid v4. A cost of RM3 will be deducted from your account. When confirmed, you will be able to change the validity of your plan from months to a year by dialing *128*1*7*3# (which is a short cut to opt for Super Long Life). Alternatively, you can key in step by step to get to the Super Long Life option.
Hope this helped.
If you allow your number to be inactive for a period of time, that number will be RECYCLED, unless you protected that number by added cost. I am not familiar with the plan nowadays.
Thank you so much for sharing! This post has proven to be very helpful when I have been searching all over the Internet for extending my DiGi no. another year (I am staying overseas currently) when searching on DiGi website was fruitless. Straight to the point and really solve my problem!
ReplyDeleteThanks Merqa for the feedback and you are very welcome :D
DeleteThank u so much !! It really did help me 😁
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome :)
DeleteThank you so much. I was very frustrated trying and failing using the Digi instructions. I did not know that I was on v3 and needed to change to v4 first. Your instructions were clear and allowed me to change the plan and extend the Super Long Life.
ReplyDeleteHi Paul. You are welcome! :)
DeleteI have called the digi helpline, n taught as above. but it shows:
ReplyDelete1. RM5.00 (30 days)
0 back
My bal is RM30.84, Dont know why???
Hi Loh, it seems that your balance is not sufficient. You need to have at least RM 35 in order to opt for the 365 day super long life. Try to top up the amount and then try again. Alternatively, you can call digi again to confirm this (before you top up your credit). Also, make sure you have the current Digi Best Prepaid version 4. Hope this helps. Cheers.
DeleteThanks so much for putting the effort to share this! It's such an significant note! I actually took more than half hour to get my Long Life plan renewed, if i didn't see your post, probably would spend longer. Can't believe that i have to find the solution from your end but not from the Digi website, so dissapointed with their site. Anyway, thanks a million!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi. Glad I could help and cheers :D
DeleteHi, just saw your post on super long life. I did mine before going overseas in sept 2014. Is it possible to renew it from abroad? I was told by the digi people that it can only be done in malaysia. But, that was august 2014.
ReplyDeleteHi Mi, for now I only know of one means to renew super long life via sms in Malaysia (Singapore/Thailand). The last time I checked, online customer service (OCS) still does not have renewal option for customers. I will update when I know of other means.
DeleteThanks for the write up, helped me. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lionel :)
DeleteThanks Lionel :)
DeleteCan i ask something? My plan now is Digi New Best V1. Then how to change to Digi Best Prepaid V4? I've already dial *128*1# and choose no.4 (call plan). But theres no other plans to choose. How?
ReplyDeleteHi Thaqif,
DeleteThe conversion from New Best v1 to Best v4 is not possible. However, I think your plan which is under the Best plan can still opt for the Super Long Life. Just key in the following *128*1*7*3# (to sign up for Super Long Life)
Hi
ReplyDeleteCan I change V2 plan to V4?
Hi Roberto. I'm not sure if you can change plan from v2 to v4. The information should be available from the phone menu when you key in *128#. I think you can only change to the latest Digi New Best v1 but I'm not sure. Sorry.

DeleteI'm using DiGi Best prepaid v1. I have rm70++ credit but when I wanna subscribe Super Long Life they only show the rm5.00(30days).
ReplyDeleteI thought I need to change plan only can subscribe to the super long life, but when the choices include only Digi new best v2 and digi smart prepaid.
Is there anything I can do so that I can subscribe to super long life 365days?
Hi Cheryl. If you want super long life, Digi New Best is the choice. The last I checked, this plan is only v1 (not v2). Only when you have upgraded to Digi New Best v1, then you can opt for the super long life. Hope this helps.
DeleteDigi New Best v2 provide super long life option now, at a cost of RM68 fow 365 days validity.
